The workshop includes an elaborate lecture on the indications, contra-indications, advantages, disadvantages, procedure details and applied biomechanics of all four methods of surgical exposure techniques. There will be live on patient demonstration of all four techniques of surgical exposure. In addition, all delegates will be able to do the four methods of surgical exposure of impacted canine on simulated models.
Dr. P.G. Francis graduated from GDC Trivandrum with first rank from University of Kerala in 1980. He finished his Masters in Orthodontics from the same institution in 1985 and has been in teaching profession since then. His areas of special interest include Surgical Orthodontics and Management of impacted canine and presurgical orthodontic management of cleft lip and palate with Lathams appliance. He has vast experience in the management of skeletal discrepancy cases by orthognathic surgery and conducted several hands-on workshops and given guest lectures in his area of expertise.
